I believe that if they are working in shifts that it shouldn't be a big deal. Depending on when the family member has to work depends on when you have your dinner. Other stores are open during Thanksgiving as well and aren't getting bashed like Kmart is. Also, maybe those workers volunteered to make the extra money. So, I don't see the big deal of Kmart being open on Thanksgiving.

The Russians do not fully agree with the gay rights as much as the U.S. does. We are more lenient with gay rights as well. They are more free to do what they want and not be in trouble for it. Russians are more strict and against the gay rights.

I don't agree nor disagree, because they have had the name for several years now and its not the first time they have tried to change it. It can be viewed as racism, but if they thought it was then it more than likely would have been changed by now, but it doesn't really matter to me.

Response To My Grandchild

I have employed myself in the medical field to help those who are ill. Most of them who have came to see me I have helped get better and maybe even saved the lives of some. Without the medical occupation I am in, some of us would not be living due to serious accidents. So what I am telling you, is that I have saved and helped save the lives of those in need.

Bellringer October 7, 2013

Bellringer October 2, 2013

It was stupid to do the shutdown anyways. Nothing happened and is going to happen with us knowing, so they should just stop the shutdown. It was pointless and made no sense. Obviously, it didn't happen for a reason and it was only a threat.

Tuesday, October 1, 2013

Bellringer October 1, 2013

I personally think this whole thing is stupid. Obviously, nothing is going to happen. If something honestly were to happen, we certainly wouldn't know about it anyways. This is all just a big rumor and has no point at all.

Why would they think it was going to happen?
Do they really think no matter where they may be it is going to effect them as well?
What is the point of all the nonsense?

1.      From the movie, what are the benefits of a centralized system?

It was an easy sense of surveillance and terrorism.

2.     How did the advanced technology control the lives of the people in the movie?

It allowed them to hack into every system in order to find them and controlled
everything they did.

3. Do you want to have that kind of technology in our community, like our school or municipality? Defend your stand.

Yes, because it is honestly better for us.

4.      In what way do you use technology wisely? Give an example.

I don't put anything personal that I don't want others to see or find out about myself that I don't
know.

5.      What message does the movie want to convey? How should you use or treat technology in this digital age?

It conveys that you shouldn't threaten or put anything personal on the internet because it can't
be erased. Be smart and don't take advantage of things and think before you post anything
you may not want others to see.

I think it was very disrespectful of the restaurant and family that said they felt threatened. It was not right to discriminate the man and his family in a public restaurant or anywhere at all. All of us are supposed to be treated equal. The free meal was a start, but they have larger steps to take and more apologizing gestures to take before it should be completely forgotten.

I Have A Dream Assignment

11. "I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream."

What Martin Luther King meant by this is that no matter the struggles and madness that may be portrayed, he still has a dream and hopes to fulfill it. It was good for this time, because there were many problems and difficulties and it helps for them to never give up. It will also show them to keep on moving forward and never turn back. No matter how big the dream, keep dreaming and one day you may reach it.
